| - St. Lawrence Market was okay, but I expected more due to the rave reviews. Sure, there are a lot of places to eat, but I came here on a Saturday afternoon and could barely walk around because it was so insanely crowded, which is a major turn off for me. I love visiting markets when I go to different cities- Detroit, Cleveland, Columbus, Washington DC...to name a few. St. Lawrence Market it at the bottom of my list compared to the others, though.
We explored both levels of the market, and finally decided to get some Greek food on the lower level. We were pleased with our food, but the seating is a nightmare, so we ended up having to sit at a table outside on a pretty chilly day. We walked by a bakery in the market which smelled AMAZING so we were going to pick some stuff up from there, but the line was waayyyy too long, so we decided to skip it.
All in all, we spent less than an hour here. I've seen lots of people say this is a place you have to visit while in Toronto, but honestly, I would not bother to go out of my way. There are definitely some decent shops and food options here, so I'm not saying you should avoid it (especially if you're hungry), but I don't feel like it's worth going out of your way for.
