  • I had won two tickets for the Lobster Clam Jam from Yelp and passed by the Yelp Booth at the event to see if I recognized anyone there. When my friend and I passed by the booth, he asked what the booth was about and we were asked if we knew about Yelp and he mentioned that he used it regularly but did not have an account. We were told to check in to get a free spin on the wheel. Since my friend couldn't check in, I was asked to check in but didn't really know the name of the "event" to check in and was told to look for "Yelp Booth". When I found it on my phone, I saw that the address matched the Lobster Clam Jam so I checked in. This gave me a free spin on the wheel. I gave the wheel a "weak spin" since I didn't want it to spin "forever" and it stopped on the "Sorry - Try Again" (or a similar message). The lady felt sorry for me and told me that I could still pick something from the table. I wasn't sure what to take and was deciding between the poncho and the frisbee since I had a few of the items already (pen, bottle opener, and handkerchief) from some Yelp Elite events that I attended in the past. In the end, I opted to get the frisbee which I'm sure I will put to good use in the summer. :-)
