  • My brakes failed so I took it to this nearby Firestone instead of my usual mechanic cross town that I trust. The Firestone is new and nice, the guys working there are very professional and seem to know what they're talking about. But then they hit me with estimate of $1500 for brake work. Laughable for a car that's worth $1200 blue book. So I said no, paid their $15 inspection fee and decided to have it towed to my guy across town. He said all it would need is $180 in work!! What a joke Firestone is! I saved $1300 by going to a trustworthy mechanic. I hope this serves as a warning to other potential customers that this place will try to milk you DRY! Avoid them.
