I have seen Ohio City Pasta at West Side Market various times but had previously never tried them. However this weekend they had a tent set up at the Countryside Farmers' Market at Howe Meadow so I decided that their pasta looked really delicious and worth a try.
And what a great decision it was! The gentleman at the market was very helpful and knowledgeable about the various pastas. Ohio City Pasta sells the pasta for $2/serving. And they are very generous sized servings. The amount shown in my picture is a little less than one full serving. The ravioli and gnocchi were a little more expensive but still seemed to be a very fair price. I went ahead and bought the last three servings of their pappardelle and began to dream about what I should make with it.
I decided on a Turkish inspired squash blossoms pappardelle and it was delicious! The pasta's texture was perfect and the instructions on the bag cooked it for the perfect amount of time.
Ohio City Pasta definitely makes a product I would recommend to anyone and provides a way to take your meals up to that next level!
