Visited for a trial class Dec 3, 2014. This is a relatively new gym opened a year ago. It's on the second floor above Decorium. 2nd level has the main studio for group classes, a small lounge, and the changerooms. Third level has a weight room and a 2nd studio for barre and pilates reformer classes. Reformer classes using a unique machine to train with you likely won't have one of these at home. I checked ot the "Abs and A**" class. I was the only male in the class, the rest were women that were aged 35 to 45 and seemed to fit the demographics of the neighborhood.. The class was one hour long and was relatively low to moderate impact. We mainly used our own body weight, kettle bells and an elastic band. The instructor kept a fashion scarf on the whole time which seemed odd and pretentious perhaps. He was good at correcting posture, keeping the pace going and gently pushing participants. There was soft rock music playing at a low volume. I definitely felt it was a good workout and would come back again.
The change rooms are very clean and spacious. Towel service is included in membership. Annual membership is $1560 + HST. Monthly is $190 + HST. Gave it only a 4 star due to the high prices. I would say become a member if you're looking for a small and exclusive gym. You can get a great workout at Goodlife for half the cost per month. They also have RMT service on-site. Location is right across from Summerhill station.
