  • The husband and wife owners of Precision Eye Cara are members of the health club where my husband and I work out. In the past we have been given a discount, either through Medicare or our knowing the couple. Recently both husband and I had I exams at Precision and I purchased two eyeglass frames elsewhere so that one frame would be made into clear progressive, and the other frame for sunglass progressive. The cost for new lenses for two pairs was approximately $800 (and we are retired living on fixed income); when both pairs were ready I was told there would be and adjust time since my vision has changed since my last I exam a few years ago... But I was finding when I needed to read something I would have to lift up the glasses and read; I decided to stop into a retail optical store with the printed Eye exam from precision and asked the optician to look at both pair of glasses; the printed exam did match both the new clear and sunglasses prescription but was advised the markings were way off and incorrect and that's why I was having trouble with clear vision on both pair; the next day I went to Precision with the red markings made by the other company to show how incorrect both pairs of glasses were made; they agreed to replace both glasses with the corrected vision; at that time I asked: since both pairs of glasses have to be replaced with new lenses, could I have the clear glasses made iinto sunglasses and the sunglasses made into the clear lenses... I was informed by the sales person she'd have to go to the higher ups at the optical company and I suggested she speak to the wife-owner since I know her by taking some classes at our club. I was told by the sales person she would call me back by the end of the day. She did and informed me that the optical company would only replace the lenses "as is "and that the wife owner said for an approximate additional $300 less discount of $100 I could have the new lenses "switched "... to which I said I wasn't willing to pay anything more and I would wear the two pair as is. When the lenses came in to be replaced in both frames, I could feel the tension and aloofness as I handed the same sales person both pairs to have the lenses replaced. At no time during this brief transaction was any apology made by anyone. I would not recommend this company to anyone in the future.
