| - Imagine my elation when I walked into this fancy coffee shop downtown and heard hip hop music... I mean, talk about love at first sound.
Then I had a pour-over coffee from Kenya and it was love at first sip. So, in a nutshell, I'm in love with Pour.
The decor is clean, white and modern, but not institutional or hospital-y, which can be a tough tightrope act. Pour nails it with warm lighting and decor. Plus, like I said, the music is AMAZING. If I have to sit and enjoy coffee at a shop with whiney, alt-rock music anymore I think I'll puke. It's like they all play the same day Pandora station or something. Not at Pour! I drank my fancy coffee and listened to Drake and Swizz Beatz rap about being fancy. Nails done. Hair's done. Everything big, you guys. All the yes.
The coffee is all pour-over. Don't come here looking for a frappuccino, mmkay? The mugs are adorable. The service is super-friendly and helpful. The prices are right (if you ask me...) and they have locally prepared treats, like Brewnuts and Cleveland Bagel Co. bagels. Just get their early if you want those ridiculous, malty bagels. Those go first--and for good reason. Did I mention they're effing delicious?!
Just go. And don't bitch about parking because I found a free spot. And if I didn't, I'd walk. Downtown Cleveland is not that big, people. Almost everywhere is walkable (with the exception of wintertime in CLE.)
