  • I have been to more expensive salons and I've found I'm a relatively relaxed person when it comes to haircuts. I usually go into a salon with a general length in mind, but not specific style. (Keep in mind I never color my hair, and usually only get a shampoo and cut.) When I go into Beauty Brands I often get mixed feelings about their customer service. I've had my hair cut by Esther and others, and all of my haircuts have been great. But the women at the welcome desk always seem rushed and displeased to see me. They rudely reminded me that their welcome desk was not the desk to pay (the one at the register is). They don't even 'hold' the phone when you have a question. As for the cut itself, I am low-maintenance and I get a few inches cut off and re-layered. Esther was a great girl who was able to understand my needs and answer any questions I may have. The only thing I dislike when I go is the fact they make me take off my glasses and I can't see what they're doing. I've been to other salons where they don't make me remove them, and do my hair in smaller sections. I suppose I don't have much to complain about at the price they charge, but it is one thing I've been bothered by. They have pretty good deals on purchases of products in bulk. My favorite leave-in conditioner can be bought in large bottles for a lower price than I'd find at salons or try to find in stores. I can appreciate their supply of nail products, but have never purchased their polishes. In short, if you're looking for an economical, standard haircut-- Beauty Brands is a great place.
