  • We have been to one of the Babystacks on Buffalo before and loved it. We plan on going back to that one should we go to Babystacks again. My boyfriend, son, and I came in for a late breakfast on Thursday. There were people there, but plenty of open tables. Once seated, we ordered drinks from the server while we looked over the menu. She asked if we were ready to order, but I wasn't and asked for another minute. She left and we did not see her again for at least 10 minutes. Fair enough though, I did ask for more time and that's what we got. We placed our order ; I got the Mexican skillet with bananas foster pancakes, my son ordered bacon and eggs with Rocky Road pancakes, the bf ordered a veggie omelette and strawberry pancakes. After another kinda long wait, out came my pancakes, my bf's pancakes and my son's bacon and eggs. Then another wait. It wasn't too bad for me. I ate half my pancakes before the rest of my food came to the table, but my boyfriend likes to eat his pancakes for "dessert". That's just the way the man eats. So my skillet finally comes, my son's pancakes come. The server says to my bf, "your omelette will be out in a minute". Fine. Well, she didn't come back with his food until my son and I were about done eating. She just sets it down with a, "Sorry". So he scarfed it down since he was starving and then ate his cold pancakes while we waited for him. My bf and I have both been servers before so we're pretty understanding of kitchen mishaps and we tend to tip generously, but the way she handled this was all wrong. She could have offered some form of explanation so he would know he should eat his pancakes instead of saying it will be out in a minute. She also should have offered a discount or something for the inconvenience of not bringing his food until we were done. So the 2 stars are strictly for the food which was very good. Service needs some work.
