Don't use the valet!
Had a great and exciting evening out with friends last night, that almost included "grand theft auto".
We tried the new Bar 32 at the top of the Hilton in downtown CLE.
It was all fun and games until The Hiltons third-party contracted valet service couldn't find my friends BMW...... After waiting for 45 minutes we decided to go have dinner. When we returned they still couldn't find the BMW or its keys.
Even though it's a third-party contracted valet, we got one of the managers involved... She was not much help. Didn't keep us in the loop as far as the search for the keys while at dinner, didn't offer to try to make it right, very disappointed
As a Hilton diamond member (I live at Hilton properties for my job) I called the diamond desk it was their suggestion as well is my wife's that we call the police.
Miracle of miracles two minutes after the police arrived the key and the car magically reappeared. The Valet said the keys fell out of someone's pocket in another customers car and they returned it just moments ago.
Coincidence... I think not!
As an interesting sidenote, as the police were talking to our friends my wife and I overheard one of valet personnel say "if anybody asks that's the way it came down"
Hey....Cleveland Hilton... You people have a PROBLEM and you need to address it.
I probably will never have an occasion to stay in this particular property since I live here, but I stay in Hilton properties on average 320 nights a year... I know what to expect from a hospitality management team and these folks did NOT deliver.
