| - Now, I've been coming to Fez for a few years and have had a wonderful experience each and every time until last night.
A couple of friends and I went out for dinner and drinks, last night, food was great, as always, and we had an amazing waiter, they were very attentive (they filled up my ice water without me noticing and a second time before my glass was empty). Now, my friends and I were so caught up in catching up that one of my friends forgot to leave a tip (which, by the way, is not like them). So, our night came to an end and we left and as we were walking back to our vehicles, our waiter runs to us and I assumed it was because one of us forgot our card, but no, they came up to my friend and gave them their receipt and said "were you not going to leave a tip?" We were all thrown off, and my friend asked if they had a pen and they just said "no" and walked off. Now, at this time, we're startled. Fez is one of my favorite restaurants in town, I had my birthday dinner there and I've never experienced anything so unprofessional before. We understand the value of a tip but for someone to leave their establishment, run after us and rudely question us about a tip is unacceptable and very unprofessional. Because of that, my friend returned the receipt without leaving a tip (mind you, we just had a drink), and we continued on our way and then the waiter runs out after us AGAIN and tells, no, not tells, they yell at my friends and tells them that they're not welcome back to Fez ever again. Some words were exchanged and it all finally came to an end.The waiter didn't have an issue with me because I'm a regular and they said that I was welcomed back but my friends weren't.
Again, Fez is one of my favorite places to eat, I've recommended it to friends, even to visitors looking for a fun place to enjoy a drink or food, but after the experience that happen last night, I'm not very eager to go back.
Now, I think this whole thing could've been resolved or handled better if the waiter was more polite and professional, as they were when they were serving us.
All in all, I've been to Fez numerous times and this is the only bad experience I have had but it definitely did leave an impression on me.
