  • I wish I could give them (-) negative stars, but unfortunately that is not an option. This is my very first Yelp review I've ever written. The horrible experience I had with Diamondback today has me so upset I had to do this. SOME of us consider our pets our children and if you are one of those people, DO NOT trust this place with the meds that your pet needs to stay healthy and out of pain! My vet faxed over my dog's Rx REFILL this past Friday. I spoke to the Diamondback receptionist on Friday and she assured me that when they get a refill Rx they just process and send it, they don't need to talk to the pet's owner because they did that the first time it was filled. I said great, thanks! Diamondback is open on Saturdays so I expected that they would fill the Rx on Saturday at the latest and get it in the mail to me (I live in LA and it typically takes 3 business days to get to me, so I was expecting the meds on Tues or Wed of this week). I know they can fill this particular Rx in one day because when I lived in Scottsdale, I droped off the initial Rx and picked it up a couple hours later. So, I'm getting ready to leave for a business trip this morning (tuesday) and I'm writting up notes for my dog sitter and just out of curiosity (you know how sometimes you just feel like something isn't right?...) I call Diamondback to see if my Rx did indeed go out Saturday. The receptionist tells me that the Rx went out on Monday. Ok, I guess I can deal with that. My dog will only miss one day of his IBD meds that he desperately needs so he doesn't have a flare up (If you have ever had a dog with IBD you know how horrible flare ups are...and how important it is that they get their meds every day). So I leave for my trip and my dog is in the care of my dog sitter (who is elderly and does not drive). Later this afternoon I get a "courtsey call" from Diamondback telling me that they did not have enough of one of the chemicals needed to compound my Rx and they expected to have more of the chemical by THURSDAY and would then fill my Rx and get it out to me. I told the lady making the "courtsey call" that I was told this morning by their receptionist that my Rx went out on Monday. She told me that I was given bad information. I then told the lady that this Rx REFILL was sent in by my vet this past Friday, why are they just now calling me (3 business days later) to tell me they don't have the necessary chemicals? She said the Rx came in on Sat. I then told her that my dog NEEDS this medicine so I need them to send my Rx to someone who can fill it and ship it to my home immediately. The lady then put me on hold because she said she needed to talk to a pharmacist. About 5 mins later she comes back and says "good news! we were able to scrape together enough of the chemical needed and can fill your Rx today" Whaaaaa?!?!?!?! I didn't have the time to question/agure about where the chemical miraculously came from so I just said great, now please overnight the Rx to my home because my dog needs it tomorrow. She said "oh, there's an extra charge for that." I told her they've have the Rx since Friday. She again said they recevied the Rx on Saturday. I said "MY VET IS NOT OPEN ON SATURDAY, they sent it Friday". She then said "oh, well it was sent to us late on Friday". I told her that even if they didn't get it until Sat, it is now 3 business days later and you still have not filled my Rx, I think it should be your responsibility to overnight it to me. She insisted that overnighting or 2nd-day air is an extra change. I just agreed to the extra charge because I was SOOOO disgusted with this place and I just wanted my dog to get the meds he needs. If I was at home and not traveling on business or if my dog sitter could drive I would have totally told the lady and Diamondback to "F" off but there was no other way for me to get the meds to my dog by Wed or Thurs. This place is a JOKE! Poor communication internally and with their customers, 3 days to inform a customer they don't have the chemicals needed, oh and then MIRACULOUSLY finding the chemicals???? All they had to do was admit they made a mistake..or two...and then offer to overnight the Rx. NO ACCOUNTABILITY! But instead they lost a customer and maybe a few more if their potential customers read this review.
