  • What an amazing ballpark and view! Now I know why PNC Park is always ranked at the top or near the top of any 'Best Ballpark in America' list. The view from every seat in this stadium is truly unmatched league wide. At the time of this review, I've been to 13 MLB ballparks (including AT&T Park, Yankee Stadium, Fenway, Wrigley, Oriole Park, Safeco) and this one definitely trumps them all! On the day of the game that we went to, the Roberto Clemente Bridge was closed to car traffic so it was pretty cool to be able to walk it with no cars on it. The walk was relatively short from Downtown Pittsburgh to the park too. The location of the park next to the Allegheny River and the view of downtown Pittsburgh from the ballpark is really what seperates it from the rest. In addition, you can see people trafficking back and forth on the Roberto Clemente Bridge as well. The ballpark is also relatively small and cozy as it is only comprised of 2 decks. Although the park is right next to the river, the river is not that wide or big so there were really no winds coming from that direction like at AT&T park. I'm giving this ballpark every compliment I can because it's very deserving of them, but at the same time, there was one gripe and that was the green wall behind the Center Field wall. It's the one part of the park that I found to be unnecessary because it was a thumb sore out there. As for the food, the concession stands were plentiful too and there was a lot of variety to choose from. With that said, we didn't really get to try much of the food, except for the Primanti Bros. signature sandwich. The sandwich was huge, as advertised, and was packed with roast beef, cole slaw and fries. I can't say it was a great sandwich, but my girlfried drowned it in Mayo and Ketchup, which made it taste a whole lot better. This is definitely a fanbase I'm very jealous of because of the gorgeous ballpark they get to go to for Pirates games. Being from New York, we really don't have any waterfront stadiums with spectacular views. This ballpark is really as close to perfection as we get in the league!
