We changed our reservation from the Flamingo (very bad reviews) to the Cromwell at the last minute.
I am glad we did!!
This was our third trip to Las Vegas and for the price this was perfect.
We started by driving and ending up in the wrong area for Valet. One of the workers ran over and asked if we were looking for valet and told us where to go.
Check in was super fast and the lobby looked very high end. We were able to get an early check-in and was greeted by a super friendly bellman named Mike. He showed us around the Cromwell before bringing us to our room and was one of the nicest guys we have met in Las Vegas.
If you want to stay at a secure location with security and not worry about leaving valuables in your room this is the place to be! They even walk around the hotel itself checking on rooms to make sure they are secure.
They have security near the elevators and they will ask for your Cromwell hotel card. Even if you get past the security you cannot move the elevator unless you have a Hotel key card. I thought this was awesome!
We got a room at the 5th floor (First official floor) which overlooked the strip and had a decent view of the Bellagio fountains. The rooms have wooden floors and very comfortable beds and pillows. I like the decor and the darkness of the hotel and rooms. Everything looked super new and clean. Our room was perfect size, not too big and not too small. We could not hear our neighbors or either side of our room.
AC- This is a huge factor for me. I know it sounds funny but I hate bad or loud ACs.
Our room had an awesome AC- you could not hear it at all! The control panel looked brand new as well and worked perfectly.
They had a snack bar and wet bar fully stocked with a price list. We did not touch those. (Not Weighted) They have a fridge as well fully stocked with no room for other things :( That was the only downside.
Noise factor- Most hotels on the strip will have some sort of noise coming from the cars, clubs, casinos, etc.. I would say our room was on the low side of the noise factor. The windows are very thick and we heard zero to little club noise from Drais club above. Since we were closer to the street/strip we could here occasional cars/ motorcycles and party noise. Nothing that kept us from sleeping. On a scale of 1-10, I would say a 2.5 at most.
Casino- Just like the hotel small and quaint. Very friendly staff and everyone seems to smile and enjoy working here. I played a few machines and only lost $40.00 for a couple hours of playing time.
Valet- We retrieved our car within 2 Mins. Again friendly staff!
Food- They only have Giadas and I will write a separate review for them later. Top notch food and quality service. A beautiful view overlooking the strip as well!
Beachclub- This is free for members! We went early as from 10-11 it is for hotel guests only. We went around 1030 and were the only guests there! Hows that for a private pool! It is beautiful and overlooks the entire strip!.
Checkout- as with check-in it was very fast and painless!
Final Thoughts- Wow we will be back. Service was amazing and he price was about the same as some of the older run down hotels. Thanks Cromwell!
