  • I would prefer to give zero stars but unfortunately I have to give one star. We needed to two vans for Ragnar Del Sol and unfortunately we went with this company (the other companies were sold out). The vans were old, dirty, and down right disgusting (as you can see in the photos). One team needed to kick open the door every time they wanted to get out. In the other van there were some stains that were very suspect. Everyone felt disgusting before we even started the race just from sitting in the van! The worst part was the price. They CLEARLY took advantage of the situation and the race, as they charged $589.00 each for these vans. You know it is going to be bad when you walk in and all you can smell is disinfectant and cheap cologne. When you are in a van for 36 hours, you need music; these vans had cassette decks-yes, folks, a cassette deck. The worst part was that one of our teammates brought an adapter so we could hook up our Ipods, however, the cassette deck wouldn't work. At times, we were afraid that the van wouldn't start. Every time we turned on the van, the windshield wipers came on. My suggestion for Ragnar participants: go with a respectable agency and get vans early so you are not ripped off by a shady company such as Phoenix Car Rental.
