  • I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!! let me begin by saying ever since I moved to Vegas 3 years ago I ONLY bought golf equipment from LVGT. In fact when I wanted to get my first custom set I went right to them. That experience should've been a red flag. When I went to get fitted they sold me a full set of Taylormade everything. When I got the bill it was much higher than I expected but I just figured my price expectations were too low. Then I'm on the driving range with a PGA pro and he comes over and is raving about how much he loves my driver shaft. I had no clue that I had been up-sold a TOUR shaft. I'M A 25 HANDICAP! Why on earth would I need a damn tour shaft that was a $250 upcharge. But I blamed myself. I'd been had. Lesson learned. I continued to buy golf accessories at LVGT over the next year but I wanted to get a mallet putter. So I went back to LVGT. I wasn't in love with the putters something felt off. I asked one of the pros if I could get a putter fitting. I EVEN OFFERED TO PAY FOR IT. He refused. (I guess because I wasn't buying a Scotty. But had that been the right fit I probably would have!) Then he assured me I could buy a putter worry free because of their 45 day playability guarantee. Imagine my surprise when I show up to return a putter that I ended up hating and I'm informed that they no longer do that guarantee because and I f-ing quote "we stopped that when Golfsmith went out of business". Why is your service contingent on wtf another company does?! So all I was offered was trade in value. $70. For a putter I paid $200 for a little over a month prior. The manager, Fred, calls himself "being nice" and offering me a straight up trade for a 5-wood I came to purchase. The 5wood was $80. So generous of him! I'm still out $120 bucks! Oh btw the putter was in immaculate condition. Because it's a freaking putter! I used it for 4 rounds. So THEN I go and buy some golf gloves that were advertised on their site as being 5 for $20. AND OF COURSE they're "no longer offering that sale". I literally showed it to them live on their very website on my phone. So only THEN do they honor it. So yea. I'd been a faithful customer for 3 years. But I will never set foot inside of LVGT again. Idk if the manager Fred was having the worst day of the year but I found his attitude to be disgusting and patronizing. I felt that he didn't want me in his store one bit. It felt like he was calling me the n-word without flat out saying it. Shit at least if he did, I'd know for sure my green money wasn't wanted as everybody else's.
