| - This place was fantastic. Actually quickly have to tell ya'll a story... I had a wedding to go to so this was the only place Local to the wedding that was able to take me and a buddy in. So I made these reservations over the phone with a girl and she had me all set up for this Suite. Well... Coming from Long Island NY, I had asked my handy dandy Siri, "Directions to Candlewood suite, Pittsburgh PA"... so.. Looked on the phone, 7.5hr drive.. And off I went.. at 5pm.. Due to traffic and everything I had ended up at a Candlewood suite... walked in with my bags and suit for the wedding went up to the counter and said "Room for Erik D_____" The man said... "Hmm.. you're not reserved at this hotel sir" I was upset at first... I'm like.."No way! this is a mistake! I have the conformation number right here!" He looked up the number, chuckled a bit and said "You're at Candlewood Suite at Pittsburgh Airport..." I said... Is this not the Candlewood Pittsburgh" he said, "This is Candlewood cranberry, if you want I can set you up in a room here, otherwise your room is saved at the one at Pittsburgh airport"... I laughed a bit... Thanks Siri... "I told the man no thank you... And went on my merry way to the correct airport. 45mins out.. no biggie.
So now I get to this Candlewood, and again we lug all the luggage and suits up to the counter and I say again "Room for Erik D_____" The guy behind the counter looks at me and goes "I'm sorry sir I don't see your reservation"... So now its 2:34AM at this point I'm upset... I was like "Impossible, these are the directions on my reservation conformation right here" I show him the email... "He's like that's so weird... Its showing me you're reserved at the one in Washington.." At this point, i'm like "you've got to be kidding me... Any way you can get us a room at this hotel, I have a wedding to go to in like 12hrs."... He said "Sorry man, we're all booked up for that same wedding" Seriously, this was like the worst day of my life.. All of a sudden the man goes "I'm only messing with you, Here are your keys Mr D_____"
I just gave him this look... "you..." and then laughed it off. He said, "I'm sorry the man over at the other hotel told me to expect you... I just had to play around"
I laughed, I thought it was funny...
The place was cleaner then clean, First time being in a suite. It was nice having my own room within my ... room... I had a full kitchen, full bathroom, full living room. It was really neat. Best part of it all... After this whole wedding weekend, I ended up leaving my suit behind... derp... So after realizing as I travel all the way home back to Long Island NY and unpack the car.. my Suit is missing.. I left it in the closet in my room. I had called the front desk and they had it waiting for me! I gave them my credit card information and they shipped my suit out to my VIA UPS...
For that, I can not thank this staff enough!
