4-17-2017 I went to Gaetano's on a Monday around 5:15pm. I was greeted immediately by a man impeccably dressed and very friendly and seated in an area that I requested. There was a couple seated near me at the bar watching and discussing the hockey game on TV and I was impressed with the knowledge of the bartender and the patrons about hockey and enjoyed listening to their discussion. I was immediately tended to with a menu and my drink order was given. The servers tended to my every need and seemed to appear as if they were reading my mind. I was very impressed with the timing of the servers. I had a Groupon that I paid $20 for $40 worth of food, which I thought was a great bargain. I ordered the fried Zucchini as a appetizer and Lasagna with an order of Garlic Bread (as I found out that they did not serve Garlic Bread with Lasagna) but did serve a complimentary basket of toasted bread but it's not what I was hungry for. I was brought a plate that had 5 small deep fried pieces that was not the Zucchini "chips" I was expecting but they were more like fried mozzarella and not wanting to question their version of fried zucchini, and wanting to sample what they brought, I ate the "zucchini". It was nothing like what I was used to and I I was not impressed. My Lasagna arrived just as I polished off the appetizer. It looked delicious. It turned out to have one small layer of meat topped with pasta and cheese and it tasted more of pasta, with very little flavor until I requested some red pepper flakes to give the dish some dash. I must admit that I have not eaten very much Italian food other that what is made at home in the Midwest, but I was not impressed with the food. Like I said the servers were great, the atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was very clean and pleasant. I just can't say with all honesty, that I found the food to be that good. They seemed to have some very nice wine which the other customers seemed to enjoy. My tab came to $44.00 ( $4 over the Groupon Coupon) I tipped accordingly. To be fair, I hope you give them a try and that you have a pleasant experience.
