The Farmer's Market is set up at Sick Kids Hospital every Tuesday. It's fairly small, but boasts a variety of items from fresh zucchini to raw honey; natural lip balm to gluten-free cake; organic berries to goat cheese.
There's also a small and adorable blue truck that parks in front of the hospital and sells some of the best fair trade coffee I've tasted. It's called Jacked Up Coffee and is staffed by two unbelievably sweet gentlemen.
The vendors are all warm, hard-working people who provide healthier options in a world filled with hormone and chemical-laced "food". The fact that this is done at one of Canada's best children's hospitals makes their job so much more important.
If you plan to come to the market, make sure you arrive before 2pm or you'll leave empty-handed!
