I've been a customer of this store for several years. I've probably spent about $5,000 in parts and supplies at this store since 2010. Today, this company lost my business over a .75 beach ball. Here's how it went down: They had several small beach balls that were clearly promotional materials from a vendor/supplier. My 18 month old daughter was playing with one. I set it on the counter with my purchase, when I wasn't charged, I thought I had confirmation that this was, indeed, a free vendor promotion. I started to walk out the door and was asked, rudely, if I was going to pay for the ball. I responded that I thought it was just a promotional item from the vendor since it had no price on it and since he didn't ring it up when I set it on the counter with my purchase. At that point, he had the chance to let it go and keep my business, but instead charged me - .75 for an item that clearly was just meant as a vendor promotion. I checked online to confirm that this wasn't really a product meant for resale and that was confirmed. This somewhat dishonest business practice that embarrassed me at the same time was enough for me to make the decision to take my business elsewhere in the future. (In case it's not clear - it wasn't about the .75 charge - just the way the whole thing went down.)
