| - I am writing to you today in regards to my purchase at Sleepy's mattress. I have been, and currently still trying to return my mattress to Sleepy's. I am very dissatisfied with my mattress and can not use it.
I purchased my bed in Feb,2016. After getting approved for the 1500.00, I go into Sleepy's to look at a Sealy mattress that was on sale . I tried it and it felt good. After speaking with salesman, and him "convincing" me that it was not a good mattress for longevity, he introduced me to a Beauty rest mattress. It was more than I was willing to pay, but he was willing to work with the price. He then gave me the price, and it was way more than I was approved for. After telling him that I want to stay within my 1500, he then came back much lower than the first time, still more than approved for. Not to worry he says, I can push it through. After hearing how good this mattress was, and it was comfortable, I agreed. THEN, he comes back saying that that model of bed (Pillow top) was just out of where I needed to be price wise, and said the next model lower, comfort level identical, was doable. He said it was the exact same mattress only without the pillow top. After he addressed our concerns about a non-pillow top, telling us about the comfort warranty, we agreed. It was still 170.00 more than credit line, he can push through, not to worry.
Well, it gets delivered and immedialy we notice how hard the bed is. I went back to store that weekend and same salesman tells me to give it some time. It has been in the warehouse and more than likely the gel inside bed is still frozen. It takes a couple of weeks to "thaw out". So I continue for a couple of weeks, bed still hard. I go back into store again, this time different people inside store, and I explain to the salesman what is going on. He tells me that he personally has had several customers return that same bed, telling him the exact same thing, about how hard bed is. They tell me that they would be happy to exchange bed. Then it gets interesting. After pulling up my receipt, the salesman says that I got it at a discounted rate and he needs approval to exchange. He calls the female manager over, who goes through the paperwork, and says that because it was discounted, I need to pay the difference in bed. Well, that shouldn't be a problem. How much is the difference? When she told me 2300 and change, my jaw dropped. But she could probably get down to an even 2000. I told her that was ridiculous and I wanted to return bed. Well guess what. 23 days later and beyond return time. I'm out of luck. Instead of causing a big scene I left. Looking back I shouldn't have , but I did. Well a couple of months later, now I sleep in spare bedroom, separate from my wife several nights a week, and back is killing me every day.
I can not take it any longer and need to get this resolved. Please help me with this matter.
