Today I went to CAM for some items. I like the meat and produce selections. It's always fresh. DISAPPOINTED with customer service! I noticed an elderly African American woman ask one of the Hispanic workers about getting her a cart for her items (a few boxes of herbal tea). I guess she bought more than what she came in the store to get. Through the language barrier, he just pointed and so she walked away. She then proceeded to order something from the meat/fish counter and while her order was being prepared, she politely asked the Chinese lady worker, who was unpacking boxes in the aisle, if she could get a cart. The lady worker was soooo RUDE! She replied, "You go get your own cart in the front, geesh!" The worker proceeded to roll her eyes and said something in Chinese before walking back into the stock room. The customer just walked away with her items in hand. I was floored! I couldn't believe what I just witnessed! I'm always interested to see the interactions between folks at cultural establishments and I was so disappointed in how this worker acted. Honestly, if I was the elderly lady shopper, I would've left without buying anything. It was a sad day at CAM.
