  • Using yelp to find a dinner spot last Thursday led me & my bear to Aiellos. Tucked into a nice little spot just north of the hot areas we usually dine in. It was a quiet early evening just about 5 when we arrived. The pepper oil & bread were just as great as every yelp-er said. We started out with the bruschetta which was a nice shift from your ever day bruschetta with the warm pieces that had eggplant & tomato mmm good! I am very very picky when it comes to spaghetti preferring my mom's/mine over all others. But shockingly I went for the famed spaghetti & meatballs, while Bear had gnocchi in pesto cream sauce. Normally the gnocchi would have been my choice so it delighted me when he chose this dish. I can honestly say I LOVED the spaghetti!! The meatball as I could only get one of the huge balls down was almost cheesy and a pretty nice change to the homemade meatballs I had been exposed to. Bear's gnocchi REALLY stole the show. It was amazing from the sauce to the dumplings themselves he and I both agreed that it was the best gnocchi we had, had to date. I was honestly too stuffed for dessert but had really be dying for some gelato. Bear chose the spumoni. I hadn't hear of it before but the chocolate end was pretty delicious to me, whereas Bear said the rest wasn't really what he thought of as good spumoni.... should have just gone with the dark chocolate gelato instead. The service was good and several visits from Joe to our table made the experience even more fun. He really surprised me when he invited me to play a game with him in which I picked a number then from this boggle looking thing he produces a number with the promise that if he drew my number he would buy our whole dinner. I was caught off guard so my number picking could have been better but needless to say I was about 89 numbers off, anyway it was the fun thought that counted in my book!!! I loved it here and cant wait to go again!!!
