rev:text	We lived here for a year from 2014-2015. The staff and maintenance were nice and quite responsive, although they always defer you to taking care of things online (mainly payments), rather than addressing your concerns in person. We were happy with the maintenance people. Overall I would rate our experience as 3 star. However I give an overall 2 stars for the reason I'm about to explain. Let me just preface by saying we don't judge against smokers- that's a personal choice-- it's just that my daughter was a preemie and suffers from allergies so it's important for us to be in a non-smoking environment. Therefore we requested a non-smoking apartment. Unfortunately when I was given the keys, I walked into the apartment and it reeked (no exaggeration) a really concentrated odor of smoke. When I complained they said nothing could be done bc that apartment was for us and due to almost full occupancy no other apartment units were available. They said they could deodorize the apartment. Guess what? Deodorizing consisted of covering the smell up with a strong artificial cherry scent, kinda like those car fresheners. I had to call in an outside company to do a vent and carpet clean up. During the course of that year, whenever I came back to the apartment after work or after being away, I always smelled the smoke. People say it was stuck in the walls. My daughter who was 1.5yrs old at the time had numerous allergies that became worse when we moved in. She required breathing treatments and had to see a pulmonologist. We finally found a house that we closed on almost a year later. Guess what, my daughter no longer struggles or needs her breathing treatments. Coincidence?? I think not. In summary, it was nice here except for the health issue. Oh and our downstairs neighbor was a smoker too and the smoke would waft up especially if he was out on the balcony. Fun times!! So check the apartment unit before renting. If you wait till move in day, that's too late.
