  • My initial impression of Dr Swenson was that he was very compassionate and caring for his patients. I was a new cash patient and wanted a cortisone shot, he did a quick exam and shot me up. There was something about the way he angled the injection that didn't seem right. 1-2 weeks later the injection site was still hurting And I developed a loss of pigmentation along the top of the foot. The site was also red and itching. I'm a very dark skin person and this loss of melanin is painful to say the least. My toes go in and out of numbness and twitching. I thought it would Go away. It hasn't. When I contacted the Drs office to request to be seen free of charge, because this is a probable case of malpractice and he should want to see what is going on with his patient. I was refused a follow up visit (5 minutes could have sufficed, it would have shown he gives a damn and remembers his oath to medicine) But most Drs these days only care if you have cash or good insurance. Otherwise they couldn't care less! I know this ( I've worked in Drs offices for several years as financial specialists for surgeons). When your patients are hurting you see them. Period. 5 minutes won't hurt, that's just greedy. Call it what you want. I will be doing to recourse on how to go about reporting this incident to the appropriate agencies and see if I can get some help before my foot falls off!
