We have done many well rated escape rooms around the GTA and Freeing Canada ranks up with them. The couches, games and free popcorn make it the best waiting area thus far. The staff was also kind and passionate.
We did two rooms: Pirate's Prize and Unmask. The theme and immersion of Pirates is far superior. It also had one of my favourite puzzles of all time (for which we needed a clue, but once we got it I thought it was brilliant). I also like that the rooms have a fun way of telling you that you've escaped.
Update:
We have done two more rooms here.
Painters Murderer was okay. Not that many actual puzzles, even for the shorter time slot. Wouldn't recommend it. Unforeseeable Pyramid has a well designed set and interesting puzzles, but three things went wrong. (1) The final puzzle was not reset. This meant that the first thing we did was happen upon the final key and figure out how to use it to escape. Kind of anticlimactic. (2) A key/tool was broken. We made it work, but easy to replace and should be. (3) One puzzle has multiple solutions (which we didn't know) but only one opens the door. When we asked for help the first person who came agreed that we solved it and needed to get the other person.
This place has great potential, but with the "bleh" of the third room and issues in the fourth my rating has to go down.
