  • I called the store to ask about renting a handgun and the range for some needed practice. I was told that I would first need to watch a 3 minute safety video upon my arrival and that they did indeed have the Springfield XDS-9 for rental. I journeyed 15 miles to find a most beautiful store and waited patiently to set up the rental. But disappointment struck...apparently the city of Mentor will not allow gun rentals to those who have never shot at Point Blank before. And none of this came to me after I had called the site and spoken to a gentleman at the range desk using phone extension 223. Apparently the employees are not well informed of current policy. And worse the knee jerk reactions of city politicians to a suicide at that store has caused an unnecessary expectation upon the public.
