| - Honestly it is my 3rd time living in this community under different management of course and it seems like the quality of care has gotten worse over the years in the apartments. I did not like the fact that I could NOT see the apartment I was gonna lease until I had placed a deposit and signed up.The show apartment paints a very nice picture with updated cabinets, fridge, microwave and clean new carpet. Considering I was told I was gonna get the "Upgraded" unit which is newer and better quality, I was left with an non-upgraded apartment that has it's issues and I've only been back a month. First, I never understood why they didn't just replace some things but perhaps it was to save money since it does not look at all like what I was showed in the model. The carpet was given to me in a VERY used stained manner which should have been replaced after the last tenants since it had stains everywhere especially when you first open the apartment and living room. Even the person that showed me the apartment looked shocked at the carpet and said "It's in fair condition at least" . The company or person who installed the carpet did a terrible job as there is corners that carpet does not fully flush well and you can see it was cut short, again the person who walked me through my unit noticed as well and recently found two rusty bent nails on my carpet... One near my guest bathroom and another near the front door. I really don't know why wouldn't they just do the carpet job right since I had to find out about them the painfully hard way and stepping on them. I really don't know what they can do about the nails but I will be placing a request to maintenance to remedy that situation. Both the kitchen and bathroom have faux wood laminate and all three locations are bubbled or cracking especially in the bathrooms behind the toilet as well as the main kitchen floor. Considering it is "Upgraded" unit, it should've been replaced since there is obvious water damage from the last tenants. Speaking of the kitchen, it was left with white paint left permanently on the floor almost like they did not attempt to cover when doing a paint job on the old cabinets which they seem to updated to new knobs is all. My balcony screen door should have been replaced but was left bent and used so it does not close properly, only the glass door. I guess I will put in a work order for that replacement as well . Our balcony was a temporary home to pigeons before I moved in and they left a lot of droppings and stains from their time here. Again, the person that walked me through the apartment said they did their best to clean it but it is still visible. To confirm, there is some sort of pest problem since we clean our apartment daily and I still see roaches come out at night, so far I have killed 8 and it does not help that neighbors leave trash bags outside the door for hours. I had my fridge go out the first 30 days I was there and maintenance was good about coming to look at it and replace it the next day so there's a plus at least. The dog park smells terrible and is basically covered in 100's of feces as nobody bothers to clean up after them or the park, perhaps something maintenance can do to at least keep up a better appearance and have a cleaner community. I placed down basically a month's worth for a deposit which I hope to get back in full considering the old/used state the apartment was given in and will keep it clean until my lease is up. I really like this area and used to like this community but I hope the next 11 months are better and change my outlook.
