Hiney's
Grocery stores are really trying to differentiate their product. I am never impressed because I am not looking for an experience when shopping for the weekly essentials. Walgreens, Jewel, and Mariano's are all attempting to or moving into this new space.
Hiney's comes at this business model in full force.
With it's corner location it has a circular interior where deli counters and such are situated along the border of an open space layout. There are two floors, with the second bordering the wall space area providing a balcony type view down to the first floor.
There are tables at this "grocery store" really inviting you to come and stay. I guess you can pick up something to eat at one of the counters and have a quick meal.
On the second floor was a complete set of wine and spirits. We were there on a Saturday and they were having a wine tasting. Complete with wall space on wall space of wine racks and tasting options. You can use a fancy debit card that you preload and slide it into one of the wine pairings of your choice. Price is listed for taste, glass, bottle, etc.
This is just absurd.
I think I will stop here. If you want to hear more positive things about this place then please continue on to the next review.
