| - This has to be one of my favorite places in Uptown, deserving of a repeat visit. Come in early, and be prepared to get more than you expected because your eyes will be bigger than your appetite. The drinks here are amazing -- the Holy Water is my boyfriend's favorite, although I really liked the Twinkle Toes myself.
As for food, you can't really go wrong with anything on the menu. It's split up into sections for small appetizer plates, staples, house favorites, and surf and turf. My boyfriend and I pick about 4 plates and that's enough for two -- and of course, if you have lots of guests for dinner (or just big appetites), you can get everything on the menu for $295. The last time we went, we ordered fried pickles (that horseradish aioli is amazing with the pickles), sliders (you get two), sweet potato gnocchi (soft, with a nice sweet potato and cinnamon background with the cream sauce), and the croquettes (perfectly fried and definitely reminded me of a baked potato, especially with the cream sauce that came with it.)
Plates come as they are ready and the service is great. They also feature amazing desserts -- we got a cookies and cream cheesecake and it was definitely a good end to an amazing dinner.
