| - Just got back from Wal-mart and had to comment on some of the things I have been noticing during my past few visits. I usually just come here if I need to pick up something quick. To be frank, parking is not too difficult to find. I usually just park at the end, there's always spots there but just a little bit more walking which I usually don't mind. I rather just park there than risk looking for a closer spot and having my car hit. I have witnessed some fender-benders in the more crowded area at the parking lot in the past and would just like to avoid them.
If there's anything basic you need, Wal-mart usually has it, similar to other Wal-marts. However, one thing I want to comment on is the checkout service. This did not happen once, but multiple times.
The checkout counters used to have an express line for customers with only 1-12 items. Instead, they got rid of the entire area and made it a "self checkout" area. The self checkout is great, however there needs to be more people working there! My sister and I were waiting in line, and there were about 8 flashing lights which required an attendant, and of course there was no attendant there at the time, causing everybody in line to wait longer. When they asked us to rate the self check out, I unfortunately had to give it a frowny face.
Also, there's only one express check out line which doesn't even make it express. Apparently, people can't read as everybody in the line had way more than 12 items in their cart. It bothered me how the cashier did not bother to tell the customers that they cannot line up there and just continued scanning. They just need to have more workers at the check out stations if you ask me. It definitely did not help that the lady at the very front was price checking EVERYTHING, and coupon coding as well. Good for her, but not in the express check out line!
Personally, I thought the old checkout system was better, where they had a lot more cashiers working at the express checkout. They could've changed it to this style to save money on workers. Who knows.
