| - I was fortunate to see a great deal of comedy acts over the last couple of years, but most recently I was able to check out a performance, which happened to be a very very last minute decision, which proved to be a monumental night, the hitting point when resonated with me strongly Steve Vai: "when asked what is my favorite venue to perform at, I always respond with Massey hall, right here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada" after the astonishing 3.5 hour performance, I can very well understand why its his favorite venue, and acoustically speaking, the sound is magnificent. the venue is fascinating from the basement, all the way to the top floor, no elevators in this place as if you want to have a great view from the top, you are walking up some stairs. which brings me to my only negative comment about this building, the seats on the middle and upper floors are very comfortable, from a fluffy stand point, not a lot of room width wise, and not a lot of knee room, if you are going for an upper floor seat, try and get one with an aisle so you can stretch out a bit, I'm 5'11" and yeah my knees touch the back of the seat in front of me. this is one of my favorite/iconic venues for the city of Toronto, and I wish everyone could experience it, it is very much near perfection. a gem if you will.
