The company contacted me, thanked me for my feedback, said they were investigating my claim, and issued a partial refund (less than half of the fare). I'm increasing them to 2 stars because I suppose legally I've been made whole, but I'm really not impressed. One of their drivers broke the law and took advantage of a customer, and yeah they gave me a partial refund, but they acted like it was no big deal. If this had been my business I would be mortified. The customer could expect a sincere apology, a full refund to make up for the negative experience, and assurances that this is not how I do business and that disciplinary action would be taken against the driver. I received none of these. Not even a "sorry". Not impressed.
