| - My list of festivals I have attended is long and varied, but this was my first time at Life is Beautiful. It is held over many blocks in downtown Vegas, with the entrance being right at the end of the Freemont St Experience. There are plenty of hotels within walking distance which are ideal if you're coming from out of town.
The festival was very well organized. We did not have to wait a long time to get in, and there were no issues with security. Everything was extremely spread out which was nice because that meant it wasn't too crowded inside, but it was also a bit of a detriment because it took a long time to go from stage to stage. There was one stage that I never even got to see! The weather was perfect this year but they were even prepared with industrial sized fans in some walkways to cool people down.
Music, art, and food are all a focus of LIB. This year featured street art by some of my favorites including Fafi, D*Face, and Tristan Eaton. There were also art installations. In addition to craft beer, you were able to order food from both food trucks and food stands from reputable restaurants like Nobu and Fleur. The stages were huge and had plenty of space, and the sound quality was ideal. Musical acts range from electronic, to indie, to rock, to hip hop. Some of my favorites were Bloc Party, Galantis, and Zhu. There is so much to see and do at this festival; just try and experience it all!
