After reading all of the positive reviews on Yelp and Trip advisor we were confident we'd enjoy Le Reve. Sadly we were immensely disappointed. This does not compare to a Cirque show in any way. This is a dance show, closer in concept to a ballet. The show feels incredibly dated and relies heavily on the "wow factor" of the water and light displays which while I'm sure were avant garde in 2005 when the show premiered, aren't all that impressive for 2018. It is mostly dancers splashing around in the water and occasionally dropping into the water from tall heights.
The costumes felt very Ice Capades. The music was unoriginal. The light design was dated. There were some cool props along the way and fun fire displays but not enough to impress throughout. I spent a lot of my time searching the faces of the audience and watching everyone look bored.
This might be bad timing on my part as I just saw the Cirque show Luzia at Tysons Corner Center and went into Reve with very high expectations. In short, I recommend sticking to Cirque shows. I think it's about time Wynn finds another show for their hotel and retires this Dream.
