I brought a friend here on a Wednesday afternoon as we were wandering around trying to find somewhere to grab lunch - we didn't have anything specific in mind but as the rain started to pour down it seemed like a good idea to duck into the closest spot. I liked the look of the Pilot, so I suggested we go in. I wasn't expecting anything phenomenal, but this place was pretty disappointing to say the least. I ordered a grilled cheese with tomato and fries, she had a club sandwich. The sandwich was disappointgly dry and probably should have come out of the pan five minutes before it did and the fries were barely warm and even ten pounds of ketchup couldn't save them. My friend seemed happy with her club sandwich though. The service was painfully slow, and there were hardly any other customers.
That all being said, the rain cleared up and we asked if we could move up to rooftop patio to finish our pints. It's a great spot up there, and the service was much, much better. Not somewhere I'd hurry back to anytime soon but a rooftop patio close to home is always nice.
