| - The idea of having to call a contractor or person to perform a service on my house has always made me cringe. I simply don't possess the skillset to know if this person is giving me a fair price or taking advantage of my lack of knowledge. Despite this trepidation, using the power of the Internet and a positive attitude my wife and I embarked upon the journey of completely remodeling a home we bought in Peccole Ranch.
We began the project the day escrow closed on February 2. On April 16, or about 10 weeks later, we moved into our dream home. This would not have been possible if it wasn't for the stewardship, integrity, and superior workmanship of Blane and his crew at LV Restoration.
Blane is incredibly passionate about making sure his clients get exactly what they are after. He followed up multiple times and was at our house daily. Beyond his work ethic, his raw design talent saw the entire project many steps ahead and he used that experience to help my wife and I design our perfect dream home. This included completely gutting our kitchen, putting in an island and all new custom cabinets, laying porcelain tile on the bottom floor, totally renovating a custom spiral staircase, gutting and then designing/installing our dream master bath, laying new flooring on our upstairs, putting in new 5-inch baseboards to the entire house, installing custom lighting, sanding and restaining our upstairs cabinets, picking custom finishings for the bathroom and kitchen. This exhaustive list doesn't begin to describe all of the hours and thought that was necessary to get all of these aspects to coalesce.
Blane also has an incredible way with people. During this project we faced the potential of near disaster as the outside contractor who initially was helping us was not able to perform a lot of his work at a standard befitting our home. This delicate situation was something Blane and his crew worked adeptly around and instead of having a product finished at a substandard level, Blane's team single-handedly salvaged our dream home. I can only imagine what would have happened had this individual been left to do the rest of the house before Blane and his crew arrived.
In the real world remodels never go as planned and there are inevitable setbacks. When these setbacks occurred, Blane's experience and dedication to our dream home is what got this to the finish line and saving us substantial time and money.
Having spent almost nine years in the Marine Corps, the one thing Marines pride themselves on is discipline. When I was in boot camp 25 years ago, my drill instructor told all of us Marine Recruits that one of the definitions of discipline is doing the right thing when no one is watching. Blane Karn and LV Restoration do the right thing whether you are looking or not. Look at the following before and after photos to see what I am referring to. It's great to see this Veteran business doing so well and my wife and I are thrilled to be in our newly remodeled home.
Regardless of what you read or hear, you should always entertain multiple bids for any job. However, as a professional futures trader and speculator, Blane and his crew at LV Restoration are monster favorites to win the job.
