  • Foody Mart is a slightly above average grocery store of the Asian variety. With the parking lot being slightly small in the middle of Markham, it can get pretty packed so you may be forced to circle around a few times to find a parking spot, especially in the evening. I typically go here for hotpot ingredients and they're all good at very fair prices so no complaints there. They have a ton of stock too so if they stock it, they'll have it. They have most things you'd expect of a typical grocery store. There's also a fair amount of variety here too. They also have a little corner of the store where you can buy food to eat for lunch/dinner but there's never a guarantee that there's a free table, as the area's kind of small. As a few others have mentioned, customer service is completely non-existent. People don't know how to speak English at all. I paid for something in cash and I told the cashier to keep the receipt (since I only bought one item) and she tried to keep the change instead. Oh god... If you need to go grocery shopping, then Foody Mart isn't the worst of choices. They are miles ahead of Wal Mart in terms of quality but their customer service is completely absent so you've be warned.
