  • PRO Communicative and fast responses for quotes. CON Paid initial service on 4/9/18 of $175. Basic clean up like mowing grass, blow leaves off the lawn, and trimmed bushes. After 5 services we realized our trees were overgrown and grass was still dead. I asked Marie to trim up the trees because they were sagging all the way down to below 3 feet from the ground. Apparently this is an additional fee. I was a bit shocked because ALL MY LIFE with every landscaper I have ever worked with included trimming trees up to an average human height. So if tree branches are handing down 3 feet off the ground they trim it up to at least 5 feet so you can walk underneath the tree. Not with House of Yards. Everything is additional. Over the course of 5 services I paid a total of $375 for someone to mow my grass and a little bush trimming. This is outrageously high. On top of all this I had to ask them to revive my grass. An attentive landscaper recommends and diagnosis problems so the clients have a nice looking yard. Not with House of Yards. You have to contact Marie and Cam comes out to look at it. I think the reason there is a disconnect here is because the owners and landscapers who actually do the work don't communicate. They don't know what's going on at their clients properties. I prefer to work with landscapers who are actually doing the work so they can tell me immediately if there is issues on my yard that needs to be addressed. I gave them a chance and I wish I didn't. I wasted money and now have to pay it all over again to start up with a new landscaper.
