| - **THE FOLLOWING REVIEW HAS BEEN REVISED**
I got married last week and my husband and I had intentions early on of getting these fantastic donuts for our guest gifts at our reception.
We used a different local donut shop(George's Donuts in Hudson) instead. I tried every means of communication to order them, going back months. I was calling them a couple days a week going back months before the reception and leaving messages, even e-mails to the manager's personal e-mail address I was given. I never got any response whatsoever. Eventually I sent my fiancee up there in the early am (the manager is apparently the only one who can take wedding orders and is only there very specific times of the morning), and talked with the manager, who promised to call us in a couple days to set up the order. This NEVER HAPPENED. It was becoming a workplace comedy with my co-workers who watched this happen for months.
Overall, I wasted a lot of time, effort, and unnecessary pre-wedding stress trying to get them to work with us and was completely blown off. I very seriously do not think they must need the large order/money and free advertising we offered them. It's a real shame. I have loved their donuts, but I have a terrible taste in my mouth when I think of them now.
(The above review was edited to reflect that we were dealing with the manager, not the owner as we originally thought.)
Since this review was posted the owner and his wife both contacted us personally to find out exactly what went wrong so that it could be dealt with, and hopefully never happens again. They went way above and beyond to try to make amends and offer their sincerest apologies for this unfortunate series of events. This exceptional attention to customer service and loyalty has caused us to revise our review from one to four stars. We are certainly happy to have this resolved to everyone's satisfaction, as we truly love Jack Frost donuts, we have been customers for years and will continue to be so!
