So let me start by saying that I frequently stay at Starwood hotels, and have elite status. This is the first bad experience I've had with their chain. While the hotel concept is great, they fall short on execution. Few examples.
1. Arrival- didn't have my group reservation upon arrival and informed me they were sold out in spite of my confirmation. They eventually caved and gave me a room.
2. Cleanliness- while showering I noticed an extra long hair, which was both obvious and gross. Asked the front desk to have someone clean the room. They weren't sure if they could get to me because I had asked for points instead. Sorry that I assumed they did their job to begin with. No apologies were offered by the front desk. Went I returned, the room was straightened but the giant hair was still there
3. Room service- avoid, avoid, avoid. Lago doesn't know the difference between a chopped and a Caesar salad.
Overall, nice concept and location. Everything else just fell short, and was a disappointing aloft experience.
