  • I've had a very different experience of Bracko Brothers than the other reviews. A couple of the things they note resonate with my experiences, but I saw them as positives rather than negatives. Let me tell you my story, briefly, if you'll indulge me. After many years, my partner and I had our dream opportunity come true last summer to start our own practice, and we needed furniture that was good quality and tasteful. We were both drawn to the understated elegant, yet solid, and finely crafted items by a maker called, I think, Simply Amish. One of the owners directed us to their catalog where we were glad to spend well over an hour without intrusion to make our choices among type of wood, finish colour, and style variations. These items are priced according to their quality, which is what we wanted, and we were glad for the time to pour over the options, fully expecting that these items will last the remainder of my career and well beyond. They had to be "right." Next, we enlisted One of the owners to make the order. His knowledge of the product was reassuring and helpful. There was a further option for tne filing cabinet not listed in tne catalog-- raised side panels. Yes! Thank you! That's even better. We ordered our (well, MY) filing cabinet, lamp, and our coat stand. A wait of some 8 or so weeks was indicated so that Amish craftsment could make up our items, and I'm telling you, what an outstanding job! After a few days, I realized a problem. The file cabinet had plain sides. I'd ordered raised panels. I thought about just keeping it, but I'd paid extra. I contacted them. Maybe they'd offer to refund the difference. I explained the problem to one of the girls. Next day, I received a call from Lou--the owner who helped us before. "You didn't get the side panels you wanted." Before I could open my mouth, he added, "it's taken care of. I' ve already ordered tne right one. Keep using that one, and when the new one is in, we'll bring it out to you." And they did just that! Let me tell you about this file cabinet--it's the nicest I've ever seen. The quality and workmanship is exquisite. My father and grandfather were carpenters, and I can appreciate the quality of this, and the other items. I couldn't be more thrilled with our purchases, nor could I be happier with the competent and professional service I received. It's easy to be, or appear to be "good" when a product sells itself and there's no problem. But when there's an issue? That reveals much about the integrity of a business. They stood by me without hesitation, taking care of me without my even having to ask! I'll be back. In fact, if they still have that other cabinet, I'll probably start there! I only write reviews of either excellent service deserving acknowledgment, or horrific service deserving of a public warning announcement. Brackos stands with my other (few) reviews of extraordinarily good service and product quality.
