Always a beautiful and somewhat challenging drive up this curvy mountain. The twists and turns are frequent and sharp at times. Views of the city of Phoenix below will try to distract you, but keep your eyes on the road and let the passengers describe the beauty they are beholding. WATCH for bicyclists both directions, share the road, which isn't very wide or easy to do at times. We like to take our visitors to the Valley, to the top especially a little before sunset. Occasionally, we'll bring a light picnic to enjoy during/after sunset while we wait for the majority of the crowd to disperse. If you go to the towers area, be careful NOT to turn off your motorcycle if it has a key fob. The microwaves will mess it up terribly and you may have to use a manual start using a code.
This is a wonderful motorcycling road, just be careful as there are few to no guard rails. If you go over the edge, you're a gonner. :(
There are hiking, mountain biking and horse back riding trails throughout the park to enjoy. I'll be one of the many to remind you to always bring plenty of WATER, any time of year.
Visit this beautiful park and enjoy the views.
