  • Visited this shop with hopes of a moderate alteration request for my daughter's prom dress. After explaining we would like the sleeves to be capped and have the skirt built up to be more full (think petticoat/tulle-ish) the owner insisted it would be impossible. When we said we were willing to pay or perhaps could she custom make a dress similar to what we were asking for (she was unwilling to look at inspiration pictures) we were told the cost would be too great and we shouldn't waste our time with the process, rather we should find a dress to purchase (and that she had no time for our request, prior to any deadline we would have shared with her). I'm pleased the owner has enough clientele that she has the luxury of turning away new clients who would have paid well to work with her. Perhaps your experience will be different and this review will allow an opportunity for growth with the owner.
