  • I went to this place once because the laundry room in my building was being renovated and it was the only laundry place within walking distance. I can't believe how much it cost to wash two loads of laundry, (one with sheets, one with clothes - nothing fancy). I used the medium sized washer that costs $5.50 per load and took 26 minutes for the shortest cycle. The washer's in my building are $1.50 per load, and while they're on the low price point side I thought $5.50 for a medium sized washer was ridiculous. The smaller washers are about $3 per wash, and the XL washers are $8.50 per wash. Keep in mind it'll also cost you extra for additional washer settings. The machines themselves work great, and I like how quickly you can wash and dry your clothes here. The dryers dry super quickly, so while it's $.25 per 5 minutes you shouldn't spend more than $1.50, (to add some perspective, in my building the dryers are $1.50 for 50 minutes). The place is also very clean and there's always an attendant to help. There's no bathroom, but there are several coffee places not far down the street (Tim Hortons and Starbucks) that you can visit if you don't live in the accompanying buildings. It seems safe to leave your clothes here unattended and though others did I stuck around. I went at around 9AM on a friday and it wasn't very busy. Around 10 it started to get a little busier but there's so many machines nobody had to wait for a free machine. They also have TVs here and an ATM and a machine that will give you change (the washers and dryers only accept loonies and quarters). The only reason I'd come back here is to use the XL washers and dryers for my duvet once in a while, but for a regular wash and dry this place is way too expensive.
