  • I met this amazing lady and learned of Altered State through a craft show I attended. I was wearing a neck brace from a recent surgery and asked her if she knew of anyone that would sew something on my brace to make it a little more easy on the eyes. I had Desert Camo USMC fabric to work with. She gave me her card and said she could help. I went to the shop and it was tucked in a small strip of shops inside a building. Her space was small, but she was working away. She remembered me and while she was sewing the fabric on, we chatted about life as a Marine Mom. She gave me all kinds of suggestions about how to fix up my brace. It is definitely a custom, one of a kind brace. She did a perfect job on it and also added Velcro strips to put patches on. I would've paid whatever she asked, since no one else would take my request seriously. She simply said "thank your son for his service." I was overwhelmed that she took the time on something so insignificant and then would not charge me for her excellent work. Give this small business a look if you're wanting a custom piece with great customer service. She is worth the look. Nice owner with a huge heart.
