Having lived in multiple major cities over the last 10 years, Daniel Stowe isn't on par with the experience I've had else ware. Being in Charlotte nearly a year now, over-inflated Yelp ratings is what I've had to become accustomed to. This is no different and Kate S.' review on May 29, 2015 is very similar to the experience that I had.
Although it covers acreage (much of it grass, wilderness that you wouldn't explore on a standard visit, and dirt), it's not overly spectacular by any means. Couple that with the price of admission and I'd suggest most folks skip the visit. The greenhouse had some interesting plants and we even saw a few skinks. You'll appreciate the butterflies and the hummingbirds outside, but otherwise the condition, water features, and types of plants are limited.
