  • I have had Solar City installed at my residence for the last year. It has been off more than it has been on. They spent several weeks trying to figure out why my panels weren't prodcuing power. I would call and tell them that I had no power being produced and they would walk me through resetting the inverter every time only to find out that it didn't do any good. Once they figured what I already knew they would make me wait 2 weeks or more for a service person to come out. The service person would come out and mess with this and that and get it working for a few days or weeks. I would then call customer support and start the vicious cycle all over again. My system didn't produce power for over two months bt ehy still sent me a bill for 50.00 a month. I called and told them they had never came out and fixed the system after my last call to customer service. They told me that I am charged for the power I produce not consume. I phoned them and they told me that is how it works which is totally different than the was it was explained to me. I received a bill from SCE for 96.00 and one from SC for 50.00. I have only had trouble with one of their customer service agents when calling so most of their call center representatives were very nice. The last one I had though treated me like I was stupid. He tried to tell me that my panels were not producing power because of the weather. I live in So Cal so this idiot must be living under a rock because cloudy days are few and far between out here. It is looking more and more like I will have to take these clowns to court to get out of my contract. I don't want to spend the next 19 years paying for power I am not getting. It sounds like a good deal if you don't use much energy and don't want to pay 70.00 a month for 15 years to pay for the purchase of a system but sadly their lack of support makes it impossible for it to be considered worthwhile.
