I'll start by saying we came here with a very large group on a Saturday night. We had called ahead to make reservations and this place did great handling our group.
Now, I had never been to this restaurant prior to this visit and didn't know what to expect. The one thing I noticed about this place is that no one is in a hurry. After waiting a while we met our waiter and ordered drinks. I didn't feel like alcohol so I ordered a Diet Coke. When the waiter returned, I was handled a very small bottle of soda. Why!? If you have read any of my previous reviews, one of my biggest pet peeves is not free refills and serving these tiny little bottles is their way to not give free refills. This place had already lost a star in my rating system.
After looking over the menu I went with the cheapest meal, the spaghetti and meatballs. At 14 bucks this better be some spectacular spaghetti and meatballs. When they brought it out the first thing I noticed was the small portion. Not much pasta and very small meatballs, not what I pictured from an Italian restaurant.
I'm not sure how they prepare the meatballs but it seemed to me as if they are precooked and then thrown onto a grill to reheat. A couple were left on one side a little too long and the taste of char overwhelmed the other flavors. While just eating the pasta the sauce actually had very good flavors and I felt the pasta was cooked perfectly.
Overall an ok place. Maybe with smaller parties they are faster with drinks and the food. But please get a soda fountain, I promise it will lower your costs and mine.
