I took my cousins from Montreal here to show them good southern food for a good cause. We made a reservation online and they were limited on time slots, but we got there early and they sat us right away...and there were plenty of tables available. We sat at a kinda smallish table outside...not the greatest but we got over it. We tried a few local beers and our waiter was great at explaining the drink options.
For dinner, two of us got the chicken and waffles, one of us got the ribs, and I got the fried chicken with garden peas, fries, and mac and cheese with a biscuit. The chicken and waffles was incredible!! My cousin was floored with how good it was. My other cousin said the ribs were some of the best that he has ever had...and ribs are popular where he is from. They were so tender he was able to slide the bones out cleanly and eat it with a fork and knife so he didn't look like a savage (his words). My fried chicken was on point! I've had it before and just love it. The sides were just alright. The biscuit was soooooo good and the fries were great, but the other sides were just okay.
The food came out very quickly....perhaps too quickly? We were in and out in less than 45 minutes. But the food was tasty and the waiter was very friendly. I'll definitely be back!
